Most of the time excluded from training systems and paths, older people have few opportunities to develop and update their competences in a world in which technologies evolve at an unbridled pace and in which paradoxically, in spite of the increase in communication means, it becomes harder and harder to communicate. Direct consequence: they often end up being isolated from society, depriving the latter from experiences and know-how developed throughout lives, representing an inestimable wealth. The European project Cross Ages, gathering actors from diverse natures allowing to bring together the worlds of research and of companies, aims at making this situation evolve by promoting intergenerational exchange and more particularly, by identifying, developing and transferring solutions, both at level of policies (guidelines and recommendations) and at operational level (good practices, successful experiences, tools and methodologies, experimentations, etc.). Ultimately, the Cross Ages project targets the increase in the active participation of older workers to society by defining a new way of thinking and structuring training which favours intergenerational cooperation.
